What is WEST?

WEST is comprised of many types of events, workshops, and programs. When you join WEST, you have access to join any of the programs offered. You can choose to do one, all, none, or anything in-between!

Some examples of programs that will be offered in 2022 include:

  • Explore Engineering Event: a one-day event held at UVic with keynote speakers and a chance to connect with companies.
  • Peer Mentorship Program: connecting WEST students with a female UVic student mentor.
  • Engineering Design Challenge: industry-sponsored team design challenge with regular meet-ups over a few months.

In addition to offering learning-enhancement programs, WEST also aims to create a space for young women interested in Engineering to meet other like-minded students and female industry members.
