Matthew Smith is an award-winning entrepreneur and financial technology (fintech) industry innovator, helping Canadian businesses move money as painlessly as possible. A New Ventures B.C. Top 10 Finalist, and Douglas Magazine’s 10 to Watch, Matthew’s entrepreneurial journey began in 2013 as he entered his post-secondary studies in Economics at Camosun College followed by Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Victoria. A graduate of numerous incubator and accelerator programs through Queen City Fintech, the Coast Capital Savings Innovation Centre and the League of Innovators, in 2019, alongside co-founders James Davidson and Nick Addison, Matthew launched DivDot, a marketplace for local services, which would eventually become his current company MazumaGo, where he has served as CEO for more than 2 years.
