Activities:

  1. Operate a monthly lunch speaker series of meetings to bring together engineers and other interested parties to promote and advance the benefit of advances in engineering and science;
  2. To support undergraduate engineers at UVIC through scholarship and award programs;
  3. To support research at UVIC Faculty of Engineering through support for new programs and individual mentoring as requested;
  4. To collaborate with affiliated engineering organizations in the promotion of engineering events and outreach initiatives

EVENTS

Meetings are held on the first Friday of each month (except when conflicted with holidays) at the upper lounge of the Oak Bay Recreational Centre unless otherwise indicated.  These meetings are open to all interested individuals in the community but are intended to be of special interest to the engineering community. The VIES may from time to time develop special events with other partners in the community which will be promoted through the event calendar.  In collaboration with the Victoria Chapter of APEGBC, we will include in the calendar meetings from affiliated engineering organizations to provide a monthly overview of local engineering activities.
